New features, options and improvements

  • Improved poisson disc shadows filtering is now applied by default and no longer optional;
  • Major rewrite of how textures are arranged across slots, should improve performance and stability a bit;
  • Refracting headlights: multisampling option removed, replaced by in-shader temporal anti-aliasing (working with VR and triple screen);
  • Racing cars now produce a bit of exhaust smoke no matter the temperature;
  • New settings section with music listering parameters (for navigators and stereos);
  • New UI: CJK symbols are now supported (with a fallback font);
  • Extra FX: depth analysis is temporary disabled until I find a way to improve it;
  • Particles FX: shadowed particles option removed (it was only affecting original smoke);
  • Online sparks are back, again;
  • Open door light casts shadows;
  • If date is not set, original sun trajectory is now used by default;
  • Mouse steering: option to deactivate when AC is in background, a couple of small fixes for original AC code;
  • Forced throttle (for keyboard controls): option to use mouse as well, CM update is coming;
  • Refraction for ghost is optional now, disabled by default.

Fixes

  • Two major performance issues introduced in 0.1.69 fixed;
  • Lights breaking with free camera mode fixed;
  • Smoke disappearing close to camera fixed;
  • New flames should work online now, for most triggers (apart from antilag);
  • Wipers online fixed;
  • Crash if selected PP-filter is missing fixed;
  • Custom shadow matrices with low sun angles fixed;
  • New photo app: forcing flames now works with new flames;
  • Icons for car stereos fixed;
  • Switching cars vertex AO to driverless version fixed;

For new content and configs

  • Car stereos now can access track duration and current position, as well as show progress bars;
  • New mode for cars’ mesh splitting, LOOK_AT, allows to separate meshes looking inside (specially for Z4);
  • Cars’ input ABS now returns a number for ABS mode (with 0 for disabled, compatible with old behaviour);
  • New inputs: ENGINE_MAP, FLAG_TYPE (same as FLAG_TYPE input for track conditions);
  • Format strings for car stereos and navigators now support fallback values;
  • Texture viewer in object inspector app now can show UV wireframe;
  • Default parameters for oil pressure estimation fixed, changes in config now apply live as they should have.
